Robert's passion for the family business began over twenty five years ago. During that time he worked at many famous European wineries. He gained his Diploma of Oenology at the internationally acclaimed technical research University of Geisenhelm in Germany. Furthering his skills, he helped develop the world's only commercially operated vacuum distillation process, and holds patents for rapid analysis of alcohol, safe stainless steel storage of perishables and the reduction of evaporation of volatiles such as spirits.





DEVELOPMENT

After some 5 years and over $2 million in research and development a product, 'DeVine', needing 5 tonne of grapes to produce 1 tonne of a rich highly nutritious food has been produced. 'DeVine' has some 4 - 5 times the vitamins, minerals and trace elements of equivalent spreads, has no cholesterol, no fat, no preservatives, no artificial colouring or flavours, no GMS's and no Gluten, and dairy free and is in fact it is 100% pure while containg fibre and the most powerful anti-oxidant found in grapes, Resveratrol. Its sugars, fructose and glucose are absorbed immediately into the blood stream as energy (it has a GI of =54) as an instant as well as slow release energy source. There is no other added sugar, making it a highly compacted energy pack health food for the evermore-scrutinizing demands on food for the 21st Century. Its uses are many folds. These fruit sugars as well as other components such as antioxidants, a complex variety of minerals, vitamins and trace elements are vitally important to the human life system.

It has a shelf life of 1 year, and as it is a pure fruit product, is ideally placed for the export industry as no quarantining restrictions can apply.

In essence 'DeVine', and its method of manufacture represents a new invention in the art of utilizing vine grapes, which have been known to man from biblical days but up to now have only been used for making wine or eaten as fresh or dried fruit. FIGHTING FREE RADICALS

When a cell, with the use of oxygen we breathe in constantly, converts food to energy, molecules called free radicals are produced. These are unstable oxygen based molecules, which can damage healthy body cells in their search to stabilize themselves. It is commonly known as oxidative stress, just like an apple goes brown when cut, or nails rust when left to the elements, so can the body "oxidize" as we breathe in oxygen.

'DeVine', with its most powerful grape anti oxidants (which includes Resveratrol) help to keep these resultant excessive free radicals in check, thus helping to reduce cell damage.

Although the body has been doing this since creation, a combination of change of diet and increased world pollution has seen an increase of harmful chemicals remaining in our bodies. Car exhaust and industrial emissions, cigarettes to name only a few help create new free radicals, which the body's natural defences can no longer absorb or neutralize.

Procyanidins bind to the collagen and elastin protecting them from damages or 'cross-linking'. If the damage already exists, procyanidins will help to make repairs in skin and tissue and even help boost collagen production by encouraging the action of Vitamin C.
